This seminar was part of the Good Local Governance program in cooperation with The Ministry of Home Affairs, held in Yogyakarta from 25 to 26 July 2008. The seminar aimed:
- To explore experiences and knowledge acquired through the practices of public participations in development, from planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
- To gain understanding of concept, approaches and principles of public participation in the development;
- To provide insights toward the efforts made for institutionality and sustainability of public participation in the development of Indonesia.
The compilation of seminar result is in a four-series book on Community Participation in Development with the title “Keberlanjutan Partisipasi Masyarakat dalam Pembangunan”. The books are available only in Bahasa Indonesia.
